Bayshore cotton/wool fingering

Bayshore is a blended mix of 75% American cotton and 25% American Shaniko wool (Merino/Rambouillet blend) that is unique in its pastel colors. The wool absorbs acid dye, and the cotton does not, so the color of the yarn is a light pastel shade of the actual color mix. There are some tiny cotton nubs that stay white and the occasional tiny wool nubs that will show the true color of the dye in a little speckle. Overall, the color is subtly tonal and very consistent. The yarn is a joy to knit with, thanks to the wool that provides the bounce needed for comfortable knitting, and the fabric is light and lofty once washed and blocked. It’s the perfect yarn for summer sweater tees, lightweight shawls, and light layering sweaters and cardigans. It would also be perfect for baby/child knits, as the project can be washed in the dEli ate cycle of the washing machine and put in the dryer, thanks to the high percentage of cotton.
